          Started working life serving a five-year apprenticeship to a                                                                                                    master tailor and is a qualified tailor.

 

     After finishing apprenticeship worked for several companies,                                                                 gaining knowledge and experience.

          Was head pattern cutter and sample-room manager for a                                                                       leading London fashion company. and almost ten years as

 Senior Garment Technologist for a major mail-order company with special

 responsibilities for training newly recruited technical staff.  

 

Pattern Cutting: A particularly specialized phase of a garment's construction.

   It is both a skill and an art form. It requires understanding of the human

   physiology and involves creative understanding of the human figure

                        and the way we move.
